Our History & Vision

So how did we get to where we are? Tanganyika Ancient Routes Ltd is the brainchild of Charles Mpanda, who blazed a trail on the Tanzania Safari’s in the mid-90s when he was finishing his travel industry college. With a background of tourism industry, Charles saw the potential of his knowledge for this industry and set up Tanganyika Ancient Routes in 2004.

His instinct proved right and the company quickly grew. In 2007, Margaret Samson joined us as the managing director and fellow shareholder, a dynamic addition that has contributed to our constant growth. Today we can proudly saying we are the fastest growing Company in Tanzania on the Safari travel.

Tanganyika Ancient Routes Ltd is a native Independent and Privately owned Company in Tanzania, with eligibility to sustain your needs.

Our teams of product developers, and Africa Safari Travel Experts travel to all of our key destinations in Southern Circuit, Western Circuit, Northern Circuit and the Indian Ocean Islands of Tanzania regularly to experiencing the hotels, lodges and excursions - and making sure they are up to scratch.

We only feature tours and accommodations we can truthfully recommend, and we only enter into partnerships with suppliers we believe in.
